More Than an Eye Exam.
A Complete Vision Partnership.

Eye care looks different for every patient. At Central Eye Care, we offer a full spectrum of services — from preventive wellness exams for the whole family to advanced specialty lens fittings few practices can provide.

Comprehensive Eye Exams

A true eye exam is more than a prescription update.

At Central Eye Care, every exam includes a thorough review of your ocular health, retinal imaging, and a conversation about what you're experiencing day to day — because your history matters as much as the measurements.

We use advanced retinal imaging to detect structural changes down to the micron, allowing us to identify and manage conditions like glaucoma or macular changes well before vision is compromised.

Seventy percent of learning comes from vision. That's why Dr. Raska recommends a child's first comprehensive eye exam at 6 months — long before school screenings, and well before issues can quietly compound development.

School screenings are a snapshot. Our exams are the full picture — covering visual acuity, eye teaming, focusing stamina, depth perception, and ocular health, in a calm, kid-friendly environment.

6 Months: First recommended exam — checking eye alignment, focus, and early development.

Age 3: Pre-school evaluation — screening for amblyopia, strabismus, and vision clarity.

Age 5–6: Before kindergarten — ensuring vision is ready to support reading and learning.

Annual: Ongoing exams through school years to track prescription changes and myopia progression.

Pediatric Vision Care

When a Child Is Already Working Hard, Vision Shouldn't Be Making It Harder.

Dr. Raska partners with literacy specialists, occupational therapists, and developmental professionals to make sure vision is part of the conversation — or confidently checked off the list.

When a child is compensating for undetected blur, focusing fatigue, or difficulty with eye teaming, that effort quietly competes with the energy they need for learning, movement, and growth. A comprehensive exam gives families — and the providers supporting them — a clear, actionable answer.

If you're a provider who works with children facing learning or developmental challenges, we welcome the opportunity to work together to support the young learners in your care.

Specialty Contact Lens Fittings

For patients who've been told contacts aren't an option — there may be options you haven't explored yet.

As a Clinical Instructor at The New England College of Optometry, Dr. Raska brings a level of specialty contact lens expertise rarely found outside academic medical centers.

Scleral Lenses

Keratoconus, severe dry eye, irregular corneas, post-surgical cases.

Prosthetic Lenses

Restoring function and cosmesis for trauma, congenital conditions, and unique cases.

Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)

Overnight lens therapy that reshapes the cornea — daytime glasses-free vision + myopia control.

Post-Surgical Fits

Complex fits for patients after corneal crosslinking, transplant, or refractive surgery.

Myopia isn't just a glasses prescription — it's a condition that can progress and lead to serious long-term risks like retinal detachment or glaucoma at high levels. The good news: when caught early, we can slow it down significantly.

At Central Eye Care, we offer a proactive, personalized myopia management program for children and teens. Rather than simply updating a prescription year after year, we take a clinical approach to understanding and managing progression.

Myopia Management

Migraine & Light Sensitivity Lenses

For the 48 million Americans living with migraine, light is often the trigger - and the thing standing between them and a full day.

At Central Eye Care, Dr. Raska takes a targeted approach to understanding how light triggers each patient - and matches them with a precision optical filter to reduce sensitivity and onset of symptoms.

For providers and patients alike, there is finally a targeted, non-pharmaceutical option worth exploring.

Who Benefits Most:

Chronic & episodic migraine sufferers - especially those with significant light sensitivity during and between attacks.

Patients seeking nonpharmaceutical options - a clinically proven complement to their existing care plan.

Neurology & headache specialty providers - looking for a trusted optical referral with clear communication and timely follow-up.

Patients who have tried tinted lenses before - and found them too dark, too distorting, or simply ineffective.

Early detection saves vision.

Using advanced retinal imaging that captures structural changes at the micron level, Dr. Raska monitors and manages a range of ocular conditions — often identifying issues long before symptoms appear.
